Are People Really Buying Franchises Right Now?

The shortest answer is YES!!!

Truthfully, many of my clients pumped the breaks when the pandemic first hit the US. They were shocked, confused and a lot of them were scared…some still are. That’s okay! There are different mindsets out there. I meet my clients where they’re at emotionally and mentally. Everyone has their own process, their own set of circumstances and their own goals. I’m not going anywhere and when they are ready, I’ll be here.

Over the past few weeks, the number of new clients and reengaged clients have kept me busy. I give a large part of that credit to the strong financial and real estate incentives, making it easier than ever to get into business. I also want to give massive kudos to those franchisors who stepped up, helped their franchisees pivot, provided financial, emotional, and navigational guidance through all of this. This is such a strong testament to why being a part of a franchise is so much more beneficial than going it alone. There was an overused saying a few years ago, that when you’re part of a franchise, “you’re in business for yourself, but not by yourself”. Overused or not – I can’t think of a more apropos way to describe it, especially over the last two months.  

Many businesses are coming out of this stronger – albeit changed. Change isn’t always bad, it’s just different. For those seeking a change and who want to take control of their lives and their future, I urge you to work with a qualified franchise broker. The positive difference they will make in the discovery process with save you a lot of time and money.
